Well I am finished with my Grocery Challenge! I wasn't able to take just one picture as I was using my phone, so I will break it down into 3 pictures and detail each one.


From left to right:
Pavillions:

I used one of the THREE $25 when you fill/transfer gift cards I've gotten this week!

I have $18.62 left
Total saved = $7.77

I also got 3 loaves of bread (can you tell we like the stuff?) at Walmart for .98 each = $2.94

All in Total Spent:$80.01 not including the $28.99 used on gift cards. I didn't quite succeed in my challenge but I am still proud of the job I did, and until the 8 hour sale I was well under my $49 budget. With the extra $75 I made I've still come out on top :)

Oh well there's always next week.

Grocery Challenge for the Week of May 25th

So I'm not really sure where to post this link back since there was no challenge for this week so I am posting the url for the search for grocery challenge over at BeCentsAble.

As I have mentioned on occasion, I am very new to this, blogging, saving, coupons you name it. I haven't been able to do a grocery challenge post before now, but this week, as a result of my Budget Buster I find myself in the difficult position of putting my savings knowledge to the test.

Let's see if I can make it through the rest of the week on 49 dollars and 10 ECBs. Considering that I normally have to struggle to keep it under $100 a week, this should be an excellent field test. Can this family of 5 make it through the week on mostly the items they've stocked up on during the course of the month, with just a few things here and there?
